Snowfall likely to frost parts of the country and upper hills

Rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

While snowfall at isolated places in central and southern districts of Balochistan during the next twelve hours expected.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Tuesday morning:

Islamabad 6°C, Lahore 8°C, Karachi 13°C, Peshawar 6°C, Quetta, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad 1°C and Murree -3°C.

The meteorological department predicted rainfall in several areas of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Heavy snow, average 02 feet, in Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Abdullah and Pashin districts may disrupt normal life and transportations in these areas.

Heavy rain generated flash flooding in local nullahs in Quetta, Harnai, Chaghi, Sibbi, and Bolan districts of the province.
