Met office has issued red alert for Balochistan. It predicts that heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in Balochistan on Saturday. 

According to the met office, heavy downpour may generate flash flooding in local nullahs of Balochistan today. All Concerned Authorities are advised to remain ALERT. Precautions should be taken in operating the local reservoirs/dams.

A strong monsoon low pressure area is present over Balochistan. Monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country. Easterly is also affecting other parts of the country.

Rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kashmir, Balochistan and Sindh on Saturday. while at a few places in south Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan. Heavy fall may also be expected in different districts of upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during the period.

Rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and lower Balochistan on Sunday. Heavy fall may also be expected in Islamabad, Kashmir, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the period.

Rain/wind-thundershowers occurred in Sindh including Karachi, Balochistan, Kashmir, Islamabad and few districts of Punjab & Khyber Pakthunkhwa. Hot and very humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.
