Rain/wind-thundershower to hit Karachi and other parts of Sindh today

Rain-wind-thunderstorm in upper areas

Scattered rain/wind-thundershower, with few/isolated heavy falls, are expected in Karachi and other parts of Sindh. 

According to the press release by the met office, rainfall is predicted in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umar Kot, Sanghar and Mithi from Friday (evening/night) to Sunday. More monsoon currents are expected to penetrate in Sindh from Friday (evening) to Sunday under the influence of the system.

Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Sunday. However, rain/wind-thundershowers are expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, north eastern Punjab. Rain thunderstorm is also expected in coastal areas of Sindh during the period.

Hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershowers occurred in Rainfall (mm):-Sindh: Islamkot 20, Diplo 09, Kaloia 08, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Dir 03, Buner 02 and Punjab: Islamabad (Golra 01).

Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperature’s (°C): Dalbandin, Nokkundi 46°C, Chilas 44°C, Dadu, Mohenjodaro and Sibbi 43°C.
