Rain and snowfall has been predicted in Pakistan in the coming week.
Met Office informed that a westerly weather system is likely to approach western and upper parts of the country from Sunday (night) and expected to persist in upper parts till Wednesday (morning).
Under the influence of this weather system:
- Rain with snowfall over the hills is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Mansehra and Abbottabad, from Monday to Wednesday.
- Rain-thunderstorm is expected in Bannu, Kohat, Charsadda, Mardan, Peshawar, Kurum, D. I. Khan, Waziristan, Islamabad, Potohar region, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot and Lahore during Monday to Tuesday
- Rain-thunderstorm with Snowfall over hills is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah and Qila Abdullah on Monday/Tuesday.
- Murree and Galliyat may also receive rain/snowfall on Monday/Tuesday.

Cold and dry weather is likely to prevail over most plain areas of the country, while cloudy weather condition with light rain (snowfall over hills) is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
