The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted widespread rain, wind/thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan from Thursday night to Saturday. This is due to a westerly wave affecting western Pakistan, expected to spread across the upper/central regions by Friday.

The weather system will bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to various areas, including the twin cities, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, with isolated hailstorms and heavy falls in some places. Flash floods are possible in parts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

Temperatures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will range from 28-30°C and 30-32°C on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Previously, dry and hot weather prevailed in southern parts, with isolated rain-thunderstorms in northwest Balochistan and Parachinar.

The hottest place was Nawabshah with 42°C, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi recorded temperatures of 33°C and 30°C, respectively, with varying humidity levels.
