More rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan starting Friday evening and continuing into Saturday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department reports a strong westerly wave covering most of the country.

This weather pattern will bring rain, wind, thunderstorms, and possibly heavy rainfall and hailstorms to areas like the twin cities, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and north Baluchistan during Friday evening and Saturday. Snowfall is also likely in the high mountains of the north.

There’s a risk of flash floods in some areas like Dir, Swat, Chitral, and landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Wind and hailstorms might cause damage to crops, electric poles, and solar panels.

In terms of temperatures, Islamabad is expected to have highs between 25-29 degrees Celsius over the weekend, while Rawalpindi will see highs between 24-27 degrees Celsius.

Recent rainfall measurements show significant amounts in various regions across Pakistan, with some areas experiencing the hottest temperatures. Islamabad and Rawalpindi recorded lower maximum temperatures with high humidity levels in the morning.
