Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather across most parts of the country today. Hilly areas are expected to remain severely cold during mornings and nights, while northern regions may see further drops in both day and night temperatures over the next few days.

In the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, fog and smog are likely during mornings and nights, with intensity expected to gradually increase in the coming days.

Islamabad and surrounding areas are likely to experience cold and dry weather today.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is forecast to remain cold and dry, with severe cold during mornings and nights.

In Peshawar, Sawabi, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, and nearby regions, light to moderate fog is expected at some locations during mornings and nights, while temperatures remain cold.

Most districts of Punjab are expected to remain dry, with cold mornings and nights, while most districts of Sindh and Balochistan will also experience dry conditions with cold mornings and nights.

Northern districts of Balochistan are likely to remain severely cold during mornings and nights, according to the PMD.

Citizens are advised to take precautions in fog-affected areas and regions experiencing severe cold, and to stay updated with official PMD weather alerts.
