09th Feb, 2023. 04:33 pmIn 2006, at the India-Italy Festival, Diana Penty, who had started modeling in 2005, walked the runway for Italian designers Trussadi and Ferre.
Penty was swiftly chosen by Maybelline to take Deepika Padukone's place as the new brand ambassador and face of Garnier India because of her youthful appearance and natural grace on the runway.
Penty's first, ground-breaking performance brought her instant acclaim and multiple prizes for her portrayal of Meera, a straightforward Indian girl with conventional beliefs who finds herself in a different country and must start over from scratch.
Following the success of her film, Penty kept modeling and declined several scripts because she wanted to make sure her subsequent role would be of a high caliber.
She is said to have agreed to star opposite Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming movie, set to begin production in 2015.
