While introducing Cox on Thursday’s episode of ”The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Ellen DeGeneres won hearts with a sweet joke about Courteney Cox.
She said: Friends actress is her ‘landlord’ as she and Portia de Rossi are bunking with the Friends star after selling their Beverly Hills mansion for $47 million.
Ellen DeGeneres and their wife Portia de Rossi are currently living with the Friends star at her home after finding themselves temporarily homeless when they sold their Beverly Hills mansion in April.
‘The World knows our first guest from a little show called Friends, but currently, I just know her as my landlord, The 63-year-old said in the intro.
In agreeing with Cox, DeGeneres added: “Yes, we’re roommates. We don’t see each other a lot, but we’re roommates.”
The multi-talented TV personality had no grounds to complain about explaining her unusual living condition to the public, assuring them that she had not been fired by Portia.
“I should explain. I’m not having marital troubles. I’m not out of my house because I’m — I’m not living with Courteney Cox because I’m kicked out of my house,” Ellen joked.
“We sold our house here in Beverly Hills. I needed a place to stay and you were kind enough to say, ‘Yes, stay at my house”.
When Courteney was out of town, Ellen made a hilarious video at her house and the comedian took her time rummaging through the area.
