China’s national adviser and Chinese FM, Wang Yi, said on Friday that co-operation between China and the Pacific Islands, which has established diplomatic ties with China, is progressing rapidly.

At a joint news conference with Papua New Guinea’s foreign minister, Eo Soroi, Wang said that through concrete action, China had properly implemented its diplomatic vision of the great and small powers and considered them to be islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Passionate and eager to develop relations with China. During his visit, Wang said that China and the Pacific Islands have signed a number of bilateral cooperation documents on the Belt and Road Initiative, climate change, COVID-19 control, disaster prevention and mitigation, green growth, health, agriculture, trade and tourism.

Wang said all the cooperation documents show that substantial cooperation between China and the Pacific Islands is steadily progressing and giving new impetus to the economic development and prosperity of the Pacific islands.
