A 9-foot shark attacked a girl in Florida, but she was saved by a family member; who started pounding the shark until it swam away. According to accounts, Addison Bethea, 17; suffered partial leg loss as a result of the assault. Her father, Shane Bethea, posted on Facebook that she had been stabilised; and that several medical professionals were working on her leg. To try to restore blood flow to her foot and lower leg; they had to cut an artery from her right leg and a vein from her left leg. Severe damage was done to the nerve in the back of the thigh. Her thigh region has sustained an unbelievable amount of harm. The leg’s state is currently unknown to the doctors; who wish to monitor it day by day to determine what needs to be done.

According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office; the youngster was searching for scallops near Keaton Beach in Taylor County; when she was bitten by a shark on Thursday in five feet of water. A family member ran to the girl’s help and began striking the shark; until it swam away. According to the sheriff’s office; she was transported to a hospital in Tallahassee with “severe injuries.”

“Swimmers and scallopers are advised to remain cautious, vigilant; and practise shark safety,” the office stated in a statement.

As stated by the government, “some rules to follow are; never swim alone, do not enter the water near fisherman; avoid regions like sandbars; do not swim near huge schools of fish; and avoid erratic movements while in the water.

Although the shark’s species is unknown; it was in findings that as being about nine feet long when it attacked the girl.
