Several Ukrainian districts are without power on Monday as a result of a devastating wave of Russian airstrikes, according to local authorities.

Serhii Hamalii, the region’s leader, said on Telegram that the Khmelnytskyi region, which is located west of Kyiv, had seen a “major missile attack” that had damaged one of the region’s vital facilities. “At this time, there is no electricity supply, electric transportation is inoperable, water service has been halted, and traffic lights are inoperative.”

According to Governor Vitalii Bunechko on Telegram, two missiles were fired at Zhytomyr from areas close to Kyiv. One was downed, but another, according to Bunechko, struck a “critical infrastructure piece,” partially disrupting the area’s energy supply.

The central Ukrainian city of Poltava reported major power outages as well, to the east of the capital.

“The most challenging morning in recent memory is this one. Russian missile attacks and kamikaze drone attacks are intense “Head of the local military administration, Dmytro Lunin, stated on Telegram.

“In Poltava right now, there is no electricity or water supplies. Water and electricity may be unavailable for a while, but all services are currently working to restore them.

Attacks on electricity facilities are a terrorist state’s strategy because they can only protect civilians “Added he.

Energy infrastructure facilities in the Kremenchuk district were hit three times by enemy fire during the most recent airstrike, according to Lunin.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, both energy facilities and people were the targets of the deadly explosions that occurred across Ukraine on Monday.
