There was dense black smoke rising above Balashikha’s Stroypark Mall.

The first fire and rescue unit on the site spotted 200 square meters of waste burning, according to the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Unconfirmed reports of arson have surfaced on social media.

It followed a conflagration Friday at the Mega retail complex in Khimki, northern Moscow, home to the original Russian IKEA branch.
These fires haven’t been linked to aircraft strikes.
Others argued that, with the Russian economy stressed by international sanctions, this could be sabotaged by Moscow’s competitors.
