Detectives have opened a murder inquiry after learning that a guy who was found with head injuries has passed away.
At 23:30 GMT on Tuesday, the 40-year-old man was discovered on Tudor Road in Leicester unconscious and suffering from head injuries.
He was transferred to the hospital, where he received more medical attention, but he passed away on Friday night.
As of right now, four people are in custody on murder suspicion.
A 42-year-old male and two 34-year-old women who were initially detained on Wednesday on charges of attempted murder have reportedly been re-arrested on murder suspicion.
Early on Saturday morning, a 24-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of murder.
Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Mark Sinski, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “Our investigation is continuing and further inquiries are being carried out in the area where he was found.
“We know he was assaulted at around 9pm and I’m continuing to ask for anyone with information – particularly CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage – to come forward. Anything you’re able to provide could help.”
This murder is not being related to the passing of a guy who was discovered dead in the heart of Leicester on Wednesday.
