According to the Israeli military, soldiers raided the camp to apprehend three “wanted militants.” According to the report, the crowd threw rocks and firebombs at the military before they started firing.

The most right-wing administration in Israel’s history is about to be installed, which has led to extremely high tensions and violent outbursts.

Since last week, more than ten Palestinians have died in the occupied West Bank, including Ammar Mufleh, 23, who was shot dead by Israeli police at point-blank range on December 2 in broad daylight.

Mufleh was captured on camera being held in a headlock by an Israeli soldier during the incident in Huwara, while two other men attempted to wrestle him free.

The soldier pulls out a handgun and shoots Mufleh multiple times as he falls to the ground, after which Mufleh strikes the soldier and attempts to grab his rifle in an effort to escape the soldier’s grasp.

According to Palestinian activists, the killing constituted a “execution”.
