On Monday, a mass shooting at two places in the coastal community of Half Moon Bay in northern California killed seven people. The suspect was eventually apprehended after driving to a police parking lot, according to officials.

About 50 kilometres (30 miles) south of San Francisco is Half Moon Bay.

In Half Moon Bay, deputies responding to a call discovered four dead and a fifth victim injured at the initial location, and three more bodies were discovered nearby, according to sheriff Christina Corpus.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, one of the destinations was a mushroom farm.

The arrest was captured on camera by ABC 7 in the Bay Area as two plainclothes officers and one uniformed deputy ordered the man out of his car while brandishing their weapons. When the suspect emerged, he was knocked to the ground and looked over for weapons. With long weapons, several armed officers in uniform rushed to the scene.

According to Corpus, his car contained a gun.
