Russia has not committed war crimes, says Sergey Karaganov
Sergey Karaganov, a foreign policy analyst for Russia, has disputed that his country has committed war crimes in Ukraine.
According to Karaganov, crimes were done by Ukraine, and “we have an opposing picture of horrors of Ukrainian troops,” he said in an interview with the reputed media outlet.
Responding to claims by former Russian military officer, Konstantin Yefremov, that Russian troops have tortured Ukrainians, Karaganov said: “We have tones of evidence of the opposite behavior of Ukrainian troops and they will pay for that”.
The charges of torture made by Konstantin Yefremov cannot be independently verified by the reputed media outlet, although they are similar with past reports of abuse against Ukrainian detainees.
