Fifth person charged after man found fatally shot in London
A 24-year-old man was shot dead in south-east London, and now a fifth person has been accused of the crime.
Following the death of Kai McGinley in Erith on February 9th, Kai Osibodu, 23, has been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Last month, officers were called to the area’s Pembroke Road where Mr. McGinley was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
Mr. Osibodu, of Riverdale Road in Erith, made an earlier appearance at the Bromley Magistrates’ Court.
During the brief hearing, he spoke to confirm his identity, home address, and birthdate.
Prior to his upcoming court appearance at the Old Bailey on March 21, he was remanded in jail.
Mr. McGinley was discovered at the shooting scene with a gunshot wound by police and the London Ambulance Service. Right there, he passed away.
Four people were previously accused in connection with the incident by the Met.
On March 9, murder and attempted murder charges were brought against Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst, Belvedere, and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close, Erith.
On March 11th, charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder were brought against Connor Brooks, 20, of Horsa Road, Erith, and Bradlee Reeve, 33, of Chapman Road, Erith.
The Old Bailey will hold a plea hearing on May 30. A trial will then be held there on January 3 of the same year.
