Kevin McCarthy has been nominated
The fifth round of voting for speaker has started in the House of Representatives.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries is the only person the Democrats agree on as their candidate.
Rep. Kevin McCarthy has been nominated by the Republicans, but he has failed to get the majority vote four times. This has led to a deadlock that is now in its second day after the House left town after three votes in a row on Tuesday.
Rep. Byron Donalds has also been chosen again by Republicans to run against McCarthy. Earlier today, Donalds got 20 votes in the fourth round.
