On Tuesday, a ten-year-old boy inadvertently murdered his 12-year-old brother by shooting him in the face while allegedly playing with a pistol.
The boys allegedly discovered the pistol while one of their parents was having a haircut in a St. Louis residence.
According to the Associated Press, the shooting occurred on Tuesday night in a north St. Louis area.
According to police, the children were with their mom, who was receiving a haircut in the house, when the older kid was shot in the face.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a lady was detained on Wednesday on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child.
This tragedy comes after two other youngsters were killed in St. Louis while playing with a pistol.
Cousins Paris and Kuaron Harvey were live-streaming on Instagram. The pistol went off while Paris was holding it, shooting Kuaron in the head.
Paris then shot herself, although according to her mother, Shinise Harvey, it was a “freak accident.”
“(Paris) dropped the rifle, and it fell and went off, as far as I know.”
“And then she grabbed it up by the barrel, and it went off.” That’s all I’ve got… It was not a suicide attempt. It was purely coincidental.”
