The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) introduces the Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) for citizens residing abroad.
Any Pakistani citizen can apply for this document in their respective country, allowing them to travel to Pakistan without requiring a visa, especially for those with dual nationality. A passport number is mandatory to obtain the smart NICOP.
NADRA offers two fee structures for the Smart NICOP based on the region. Bahrain, home to a significant number of Pakistani expatriates, falls under Zone B.

Here is the smart NICOP fee structure for Bahrain as of June 2024:As of June 2024, the online fee structure for NICOP remains unchanged. The normal fee for a new Smart NICOP is $20, the urgent fee is $30, and the executive fee is $40.
In Pakistan, the fee for a normal NICOP is Rs5,620, while the urgent fee is Rs8,440. Nadra also provides an executive category, which costs Rs11,250.
