US President Donald Trump has tested negative for the coronavirus, White House physician confirmed the news.

Sean Conley informed, “This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative,”

Donald Trump experienced the test days after he hosted a meeting in Florida resort with a Brazilian delegation. Some of them were tested positive.

An advisor to Brazilian President Fabio Wajngarten were among those diagnosed positive.

Mr Conley said, “One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation in Mar-a-Lago, the president remains symptom-free,”

Donald Trump did not isolate himself after the meeting.

The White House physician said he was checked on Friday.

Mr Conley said in a statement, “I have been in daily contact with the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] and White House Coronavirus Task Force, and we are encouraging the implementation of all their best practices for exposure reduction and transmission mitigation,”

According to the international news agency, the US has 2,700 confirmed cases of the virus whereas 54 died in the country.

On the other hand, Spain and France have announced emergency restrictions as measures to overcome the spread of the virus.

People are not allowed to leave home except for buying necessary items and medicine.

Spain has reported 191 deaths, the worst after Italy.

Note that Italy has imposed nationwide lockdown on Monday as 1,220 deaths were reported.

The World Health Organisation has declared Europe as the “epicenter” of the pandemic.
