The Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan has opened the doors for Schengen visa applications from official citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan, as per recent announcements. Starting June 19, the embassy will entertain applications for Schengen visas, allowing a maximum stay of 90 days.

Prospective Swedish visa applicants are required to furnish a bank statement reflecting a minimum balance for the last six months, with the signature and seal of the relevant bank officer.

For a 30-day stay in Sweden, applicants must demonstrate the equivalent of 2400 euros in their bank accounts. The short-term Schengen visa offers the opportunity to travel to various European countries.

In addition to the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan, these applications will also be accepted in several other locations, including Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali, Nam Pen, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Applicants have the flexibility to choose their preferred location for visa applications.

It is important to note that the Embassy of Sweden will not be obligated to provide information regarding the entry permit or visa. Once submitted to VFS Global, the application will be forwarded to Bangkok for processing and decision.

The Schengen visa fee for Pakistani citizens is set at 80 euros (equivalent to Pakistan rupees 24,280), and applicants must provide evidence of their financial resources along with proof of their economic and social standing in their home country.
