IELTS fee for Canada express entry from Pakistan, 2024 update

Canada operates the Express Entry system, an online platform for managing immigration applications from skilled workers. Pakistani nationals meeting eligibility criteria can apply through this program to immigrate to Canada.

Express Entry comprises three immigration programs:

1. Canadian Experience Class: Tailored for skilled workers with Canadian work experience gained within the past 3 years.
2. The Federal Skilled Worker Program is designed for skilled workers with foreign work experience who meet education and other criteria.
3. The Federal Skilled Trades Program is intended for skilled workers proficient in a trade with either a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification.

Eligible candidates may also apply through Express Entry for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), earning additional points if nominated, expediting their application process.

Each program has specific requirements, including proof of English language proficiency through approved tests:

• CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program): Applicants must take the CELPIP-General test.
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System): The IELTS General Training option is required.
• PTE Core (Pearson Test of English): Applicants must take the PTE Core option.

For Pakistani applicants opting for the IELTS test, the fee for the general training test is Rs57,400 in cities like Lahore, Multan, and Karachi when taken on a computer.

These tests play a crucial role in determining eligibility for Express Entry, underscoring the significance of language proficiency in the immigration process.
