WHO has introduced a Health Alert platform. It will be a Facebook Messenger chatbot and will provide COVID-19 updates through Facebook’s global reach.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has come up with an initiative to keep the public updated in an advanced way.

This health alert service will be available in a variety of languages including English, French, Spanish, and Arabic. Users can access the service by selecting “Send Message”. The user can also click on the dedicated Messenger Link.

Sources said that WHO Health Alert has achieved 12+ million audience through WhatsApp. In addition to this, the service has been increased total messenger through Facebook by 50% in the areas with the greatest number of coronavirus cases. WHO is expected to broaden its reach with 4.2 billion people through its transition into Facebook Messenger and other relevant communication channels.

The chatbot has been created as a part of WHO technology initiative in coordination with Sprinklr.

Amazon warehouse worker died due to coronavirus

An Amazon Warehouse worker has died after contracting coronavirus in California. A spokesperson for Amazon has informed the news on Tuesday.

Sources said that the employee was an operations manager at Amazon’s Hawthorne facility. He died on March 31.

Kristen Kish, a spokesperson for Amazon, informed the international news source, “We are saddened by the passing of a member of our management team in Hawthorne, California,”
