The studio chose to keep the actor in the picture, although with additional screen time, after it was earlier believed that the 36-year-old would only have 10 minutes in total.

Heard had stated during her libel lawsuit that she had to battle to stay in the film and that her role had been reduced short.

“They liberated me from my contract,” she told the court. I struggled to remain, and they kept me there.”

“I’m not sure if I’ll even make the final cut or how much I’ll be paid,” Heard added.

When asked about the changes made to her script, she stated, “I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had removed scenes that had action in them that depicted my character and another character — without giving any spoilers away — two characters fighting with one another.”

“They really took a lot of my responsibilities away from me.” “They simply took a bunch out,” she explained.
