Following his tragic fall from a balcony on October 16, Buenos Aires authorities said that Liam Payne’s hotel room was discovered “in total disorder.”

Emergency services were alerted just minutes before the incident, with hotel staff describing in a 911 call that the singer had been “trashing the room.”

Law enforcement conducted an investigation and found broken objects, energy supplements, prescription clonazepam (also known as Klonopin), and several over-the-counter medications strewn throughout the room. Later, items found in the courtyard where Payne’s body was discovered included a cellphone, lighter, and whiskey bottle.

Authorities also collected fingerprints, a notebook, his passport, and other evidence for analysis. “The balcony area was inspected to determine access points,” the police stated. The former One Direction star was pronounced dead after falling several stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, as confirmed by Policía Federal Argentina.

A preliminary autopsy indicated that Payne died from multiple injuries and “internal and external hemorrhages” resulting from the fall. Since his passing, fans, friends, and fellow artists have shared heartfelt tributes on social media, honoring his legacy and influence in the music industry.
