CDC: Shortens COVID Testing Time for Vaccinated Travelers

The short time period than previously instructed, now recommended the travelers to go on a vacation and get the Covid-19 test results in only two days from the centers of disease control and prevention.

Vaccinated passengers will need to get a COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test within two days of boarding a ship. The updated guidance comes amid the spread of the highly contagious delta variant and months

After the CDC said cruise lines didn’t have to test fully vaccinated passengers before embarking on a trip or upon returning to port, all the vaccinated travelers need to get a Covid-19 PCR and rapid antigen test in only two days of boarding a ship or develop the test on the day of embarkation

A PCR or antigen test that will be on the day of embarkation, and a PCR or antigen test earlier on disembarking, for the unvaccinated travelers are compulsory to get the PCR test in only three days of boarding a ship.

The CDC asked about the cruise lines to reassess and permitting fully vaccinated travelers to go maskless, which the agency has started to say was acceptable in May, in tallying the updates of guidance.

Even the Citizens are fully vaccinated, the agency warned the older and those who are underlying conditions for not going on a vacation.
