A bear broke into an unlocked car in Colorado, police said, leaving a strewn interior and “an extra special surprise in the back seat.”
The bear bandit likely went into one of the vehicle’s unsecured doors and shredded the seats and tore apart the doors from the inside, according to the Aspen Police Department.
“The suspect left an extra special surprise in the back seat,” the department wrote on Facebook, indicating that the bear had defecated inside the vehicle with an emoji.
The incident should serve as a reminder to “be bear aware” and secure cars, homes, and trash from the animals, according to the department.
