President Erdogan gifts Turkish electric vehicles to PM, President

ISLAMABAD: President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gifted Turkish electric vehicles Togg to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

While thanking the president for the thoughtful gesture, the prime minister lauded the strides made by the Turkish automotive industry and looked forward to collaboration amongst Pakistani and Turkish automotive companies in future.

Later, the Prime Minister and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari also drove their respective electric cars along with President Erdogan.

Earlier, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Thursday departed for Turkiye after completing his two day visit to Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar saw off the Turkish President at the Nur Khan airbase.

The Turkish President and his wife Emine Erdogan were presented commemorative photographic albums of their visit.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan Thursday here held a bilateral meeting and had an in-depth exchange of views on various bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.

 

President of Turkiye had arrived on an official visit the night before. Upon arrival at the Prime Minister House, the Turkish President was welcomed warmly by the Prime Minister. He inspected the Guard of Honour, witnessed a fly past of PAF fighter jets, and planted a tree in the lawns of the Prime Minister’s House.
