Karachi: Senior provincial minister Sharjeel Memon announced that the Sindh transport department is upgrading the public transport system in the entire Sindh.

Speaking to private media, the minister says that Sindh authorities are taking the initiative for women’s empowerment within the province. “We’ve launched pink buses for girls; now the red buses are also being plied in BRT.

He also said that pink buses are the first outcome of our women’s empowerment that provides women rapid bus transport service.

The provincial minister said that Double Decker and EV buses consignments are coming to Karachi routes in the subsequent week.

“Transport department is also engaged in talks for ‘free bike service’ for special people,” the senior minister said. “The double-decker buses will only run over Shahrah-e-Faisal in the city,” he further said.

Memon additionally said that when Shehbaz Sharif became prime minister, he had promised me to provide buses on his first visit to Karachi. “I request the prime minister to fulfill his promise”.

“We are also thinking about transgender human beings and a bike provider will be released for them,” he similarly said.

Sharjeel claims that within the 27th amendment, all provinces had been given identical representation. He said the constitutional court was also promised in the Charter of Democracy.

He stated the modification has been an amazing step, and it is no longer criticized. “The bar associations have additionally favored the twenty-seventh amendment”.

“It isn’t always a terrible thing if the courts are subordinated to the parliament,” he stated.
