Analysis of Bats in Switzerland claims to carry 39 different viral bats in town. With risks of transferring to other animals and humans. Studies show viruses carried by Bats. Which have the potential to transmit similar to the COVID.
An investigative test and analysis were carried out on more than 7,000 bats in Switzerland. Specifically analyzing the DNA and RNA strains of the viral bats in town. Isabelle Hardmeier of the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and colleagues present these findings. In the open-access journal PLOS ONE on June 16, 2021.
The result shows bats carrying around 39 different viruses. 16 of those were already previously discovered as transmittal. The SARS-CoV-2 is known to be transmitted from a Bat to another animal. And then infecting another human. Including the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus or the MERs-COV virus. Which was responsible for causing an epidemic in 2012.
Analyzing the bats from around the world would help recognize the further risks. That is targeted to humans as well as animals. Scientists claim that further studies of these viruses can help identify the accumulations. Especially of viral genetic mutations. Which could lead to the increasing of genetic transmissions that could be a threat to humans as well.
