President departs to Pakistan after five-day China’s visit

HARBIN: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday departed for Pakistan after completing a 5-day official visit to China.

During the visit, the president met with his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.

The president also attended the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in the Chinese city of Harbin.

During the visit, memorandums of understanding were signed between Pakistan and China for bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Earleir, President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang to discuss bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in various sectors.

During the meeting, both leaders talked about the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and explored ways to expand collaboration in renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure, and agriculture.

They also discussed strengthening connections between the private sector and the business community. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further solidifying the Pakistan-China friendship.

On this occasion, President Zardari expressed gratitude for China’s support in Pakistan’s development agenda. He also emphasized that CPEC holds significant importance for regional connectivity and economic growth.
