PESHAWAR: At least two police officers were martyred in terrorists attack on Fateh Khel checkpost Bannu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police, two officials were killed in a terrorist attack on Fateh Khel checkpost while the attackers managed to escape after the operation.

District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu said terrorists attacked Fateh Khel Chowk for the second time in two days.

Couple of days ago, the Fateh Khel police post was attacked by the terrorists overnight, which was foiled by the police in a timely retaliation. In response to the police, the attackers managed to escape.

Earleir, At least one police officer was martyred in an attack by militants in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Ahmedzai Sub-division Wazir Police Station, where militants opened fire, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Wazir Zada.

The officer’s body was moved to DHQ for a post-mortem examination, according to police sources.

In a separate incident, earlier on Monday, a policeman was killed and a polio worker was injured in an attack by unknown assailants in the Karak district. The policeman was guarding a team involved in the anti-polio drive in Banda Dawood Shah.
