Army Chief celebrates Eid with troops on LoC

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa celebrated Eid-ul-Azha with troops deployed along the Bagh sector of Line of Control (LoC).

He offered the day’s congregational prayers with those deployed on the frontline, said a statement.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted Gen Bajwa as saying Pakistanis stood strong with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

He added that the government had commenced efforts to resolve the occupied Kashmir issue.

India wishes to divert the world’s attention from the Muslim-majority Himalayan region, Gen Bajwa said.

Army Chief on the occasion said we should not allow India to hide the oppression it is making on innocent Kahmiris. He said we stand with Kashmiri nation and we will face all challenges in this regard.

Eid was celebrated simply to show solidarity with the Kashmiris who are under a curfew even on the eve on Eid by Indian Occupied forces.

Army Chief further said India can do anything for its malicious propaganda and to divert attention from Kashmir atrocities to LoC.

He said government has started taking measures to solve the Kashmir issue.

COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa further said that we stand with Kashmiri nation and we will face all challenges in this regard.
