The National Command Operation Center (NCOC) has issued fresh guidelines for marriage halls in wake of the COVID-19.

According to the NCOC, marriage halls were reopened with effect from 15 September 2020 in view of overall controlled positivity in the Country. However being a very high-risk sector, it has the potential to increase positivity at the national level if the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are not adhered to.

Therefore, in order to reduce the chance of disease spread from this high-risk sector, in-depth deliberations were done at NCOC, and guidelines been formulated and shared with federating units for strict implementation in marriage halls:- salients are as under:-

Coronavirus Situation in Pakistan

661 new cases of coronavirus surfaced in the country after the tests of 33,898 over the last twenty-four hours.

According to the latest statistics, the contagion claimed lives of eight more people during the last twenty-four hours.

The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 302, 708. There are now 8, 335 active cases in the country.
