In a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar emphasis was placed on increasing cooperation in energy and investment.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, during which they discussed further strengthening the historical and brotherly relations between the two countries. During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum of bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy, petroleum, and minerals sectors, saying that this cooperation is an important milestone for both countries.
He also invited Turkish companies to increase investment in the Pakistani market, while the meeting reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further enhance cooperation with Turkey in the energy sector and that a ministerial delegation would soon visit Turkey.
In addition, it was agreed to exchange memorandums of understanding and agreements in the mining sector.
Stressing the need to ensure close coordination, Shahbaz Sharif said that promoting cooperation in the investment and energy sectors between the two countries is a top priority.
