After posing as a mannequin in a store window and robbing a shopping center after it closed, a 22-year-old man was taken into custody. The cunning burglar reportedly remained still in the window display to evade being seen by security cameras.
When the store was shutting, neither the staff nor the patrons saw anything out of the ordinary, according to Polish police.”A 22-year-old with a bag in his hand froze motionless, pretending to be a mannequin in front of a shop window. In this way, he wanted to avoid being exposed by the cameras,” as reported by the media.
The man stole goods from a jewelry stand after the mall closed. He also entered a restaurant to have dinner. Following the lunch, he changed his clothing by sneaking behind the slightly open shutters of another store. He came back later for some more food. However, security personnel quickly recognized him and called the police.
The same individual is also accused of stealing from another mall, where police say he tried to break into stores after hours and took money from cash registers. The 22-year-old could go to prison for up to 10 years for his offenses, according to the Media Post.
