Scotland now has more snow and ice warnings in effect as the Highlands once again experienced the coldest night of the year.
The lowest March temperature in the UK since 2010 was recorded at Altnaharra, where temperatures dropped to -16C.
South Scotland is subject to one Met Office snow alert from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday until 14:00 on Friday.
From 17:00 to 10:00 on Friday, another warning is in effect for portions of the Highlands and the north and east coasts.
Following a nationwide temperature dip on Wednesday due to an Arctic blast, Shetland, Aberdeenshire, and Highland schools were closed.
Today, a lot of Aberdeenshire’s schools are still closed.
