Ministry of IT issued Advisory on Stolen Mobile Data of Higher Officials of 20 Countries
Ministry of Information and Technology has issued advisory on Israeli company stealing mobile data of top officials from 20 countries, including Pakistan.
According to sources, the Ministry of IT has issued advisories to federal agencies stating that mobile data was stolen by Israeli company NSO Group.
The advisory added that intelligence agencies of the enemy countries have set up access to mobile phone data and calls, and data from 1400 top officials in the world, including Pakistan, was stolen by a Pegasus virus.
The advisory states that authorities should not exchange official information, documents through WhatsApp and use the latest version of the WhatsApp.
The Ministry of IT has added in an advisory issued to federal agencies that mobile phones purchased before May 10 should be replaced immediately
