Naqeebullah’s counsel withdrew the request to have the Mohammad Khan’s statement that was recorded through a video link before his death yesterday.

A statement from Naqeebullah’s father Mohammad Khan was recorded through video link. Naqeeb’s counsel had requested to have that statement, but he withdrew in wake of Mohammad Khan’s death.

According to details, proceedings were carried out on Tuesday at Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi for the trial of Naqeebullah’s murder. Former SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who was indicted by the court in March along with 17 others, was brought before the court yesterday.

Mohammad Khan’s counsel Advocate Salahuddin Panhwar withdrew his request to seek recorded video and the withdrawal of the application the court has granted to him.

Note that the court was informed that Mohammad Khan had passed away after battling with cancer.

Advocate Salahuddin said while talking to media that an application was filed to seek statement video Mohammad Khan to be recorded through video link, but the client passed away on Monday.

He said, “He had continued to visit various institutions and courts with the hope of finding justice despite his illness.”

Salahuddin also informed that he had talked to the legal heirs of Mohammad Khan.

Note that the next hearing will be on 16th December 2019.
