Our government focuses on skills’ enhancement for youth, PM Imran Khan

World Economic Forum Executive Chairman Dr. Klaus Schwab called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on the sides of WEF Annual Meeting 2020 at Davos.

During the meeting, PM Imran expressed the desire that WEF can partner with Pakistan on important social welfare initiatives.

The initiatives for poverty alleviation and education.

He said that the issues highlighted by WEF this year also relates to Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan said that his government focuses on skills’ enhancement for youth.

As the government considers its significant youth population as a driver of economic growth.

The prime minister maintained that Pakistan is addressing the impacts of climate change through the implementation of “Clean Green Pakistan Program” including plantation of 10 billion trees.

Moreover, Daughter of US President, Ivanka Trump met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020 summit.

In an informal meeting, Ivanka Trump and PM Imran discussed education and training programs to empower Pakistani women.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari was also present in the meeting.

This is the first time that the Prime Minister Imran Khan met President Trump’s daughter.

PM Imran Khan called on President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Ms. Kristalina Georgieva in Davos on Wednesday.

According to the details, the premiere had an important meeting with the President of IMF in Switzerland on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Special Assistant to PM Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, Ambassador at Large on Investments Ali Jehangir Siddiqui, Governor State Bank of Pakistan Raza Baqir were also present.

Both Personages discussed the financial conditions of Pakistan and the sector of mutual interests between the country and the organization.
