The Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended market timings in Lahore to facilitate traders and customers ahead of Eidul Adha 2024.
Markets are now allowed to stay open until midnight on weekdays and until 1 am on weekends. This extension comes as preparations for the Eid festival intensify.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet today (June 7) to sight the Zil Hajj crescent, which will determine the date for Eidul Adha 2024 in Pakistan.
The meeting, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, will take place in Karachi. Eidul Adha is celebrated by Muslims across the country on the 10th of Zil Hajj.
Today’s new market timings in Lahore are until midnight on weekdays and until 1 am on weekends, ensuring ample shopping time for Eid preparations.
