ISLAMABAD: Former first lady and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was released from Adiala Jail after being granted bail in the new Toshakhana case.
Bushra Bibi's bail bond was issued by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand after bail in new Toshakhana case.
Bushra Bibi's bail bond was submitted by Malik Tariq Mehmood Noon, after which the demand for her release was gathered in Adiala Jail. Later, Bushra Bibi left for home from Gate No. 5 of Adiala Jail under strict security.
It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court had approved the bail of Bushra Bibi in the new Toshakhana case.
Despite getting bail from the High Court, due to the non-availability of Senior Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand and the departure of Special Judge Central Number-II Humayun Dilawar, the release of Bushra Bibi could not be released yesterday.
It should be remembered that Bushra Bibi has been in jail since last 9 months. Bushra Bibi was sentenced to 14 years in prison on January 31 this year in the Toshakhana case.
Bushra Bibi was transferred to Bani Gala instead of Adiala Jail and Commissioner Islamabad declared Bani Gala as a sub-jail. However the Islamabad High Court suspended Bushra Bibi's sentence in the new Toshakhana case.
FIA had re-arrested Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana 2 case, against which Bushra Bibi had filed an appeal.

A hearing was held on Bushra Bibi’s bail petition in the new Toshakhana case in the Islamabad High Court.
