ISLAMABAD: By-elections for six National Assembly and seven Provincial Assembly seats are scheduled to take place across the country tomorrow.
The election campaign for by-elections in six National Assembly and seven Provincial Assembly constituencies ended at midnight, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced.
The ECP has warned of strict action against anyone found violating the electoral code of conduct.
Voting for the National Assembly constituencies will take place in:
NA-18 Haripur
NA-129 Lahore
NA-143 Sahiwal
NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan
NA-96 Faisalabad
NA-104 Faisalabad
For the Provincial Assembly constituencies, voting will be held in:
PP-98, PP-115, PP-116
PP-73 Sargodha
PP-87 Mianwali
PP-203 Sahiwal
PP-269 Muzaffargarh
On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP0 has issued a code of conduct for the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces during election duty.
According to the code of conduct, the police will be the first responder, civil armed forces second and Pakistan Army third responder (QRF), the army will be deployed outside the most sensitive polling stations.
Pakistan Army / Civil Armed Forces will provide security at the printing press of ballot papers, Pakistan Army / Civil Armed Forces will provide security during the delivery of ballot papers and election materials.
