CTD Punjab arrests 22 terrorists in different operations

LAHORE:  Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has arrested 22 terrorists by carrying out operations in different cities.

According to CTD spokesman, operations were conducted in other cities including Muzaffargarh, Attock, Nankana Sahib and Bahawalnagar, in which two outlawed Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and one Al-Qaeda terrorist were arrested.

Anti-terrorism department officials said that a total of 22 terrorists were arrested from whose possession explosives, mobile phones and cash were recovered.

CTD spokesman, the arrested terrorists were planning attacks at different places.

Earlier,  Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has killed the most wanted terrorist while conducting an operation.

According to CTD, this operation was conducted in Bannu, the killed terrorist was identified as Umar, from which arms and hand grenades were also recovered. The slain terrorist was wanted in blasts, target killing and attacks on forces.

According to CTD officials, the terrorist belonged to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan(TTP) Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.
