Washington, D.C. – In a series of provocative tweets, former U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked fresh controversy by making bold statements about Iran’s leadership. Trump stated that while the United States knows the exact location of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, there are currently no plans to target him.

“For now, we are not planning to kill Khamenei,” Trump posted on his official social media account. “We know where he is,” he added, fueling global concerns over escalating rhetoric between the U.S. and Iran.

In another tweet, Trump emphasized that the U.S. does not wish to harm innocent civilians and is avoiding missile strikes that could cause mass casualties. However, his language toward the Iranian leadership remained aggressive. He referred to Ayatollah Khamenei as the “so-called Supreme Leader,” a term seen as highly disrespectful in diplomatic circles.

Trump also reiterated his hardline stance on Iran, writing that the country must agree to “unconditional surrender,” a demand likely to be rejected by Tehran.

These statements come amid rising tensions in the region following recent military movements and cross-border threats between Iran and Israel. Trump’s remarks are likely to further strain relations and provoke strong reactions from Iranian officials.

While there has been no official response from Iran yet, analysts warn that such remarks could deepen hostilities and disrupt any ongoing backchannel diplomacy efforts.
