The Punjab Traffic Police has announced extended working hours for driving licensing centers across the province to facilitate citizens.
According to a spokesperson, citizens must first obtain a learner’s license before applying for a regular driving license. Learner’s licenses can be acquired through the online portal or by visiting a licensing center. After completing the mandatory 42-day period, applicants can apply for a regular license.
The spokesperson added that after passing the driving test, citizens can download their e-driving license, which holds the same legal value as a physical card license.
To ensure public convenience, licensing center hours have been extended. In smaller cities, centers will operate from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight, while in major cities, licensing centers will remain open 24 hours a day. Licensing services will continue without any holidays.
The Punjab Traffic Police has urged citizens to drive only after obtaining a valid driving license, emphasizing that a license is essential for safe travel.
