Pakistan team captain Shaheen Afridi’s secret plan to face Babar Azam in BBL 15 has come to light. Shaheen Afridi praised Babar Azam and said, “Babar Azam is a world-class player who can score big runs.” He shared that he plans to bowl according to Australian pitches and will use different types of deliveries to challenge Babar.

Shaheen added, “Babar scores consistently for Pakistan and rotates the strike well. My plan is simple—to fully use Australian conditions.” He said Australian pitches suit his bowling more, especially because they are different from the flat wickets usually seen in Pakistan.

The much-awaited clash between the two stars will take place on January 5, 2026, when Babar Azam’s Sydney Sixers will face Shaheen Afridi’s Brisbane Heat in Coffs Harbour.

Both players are trying to regain form after poor performances in their opening matches. Babar Azam scored only 2 runs in his debut match for the Sixers against the Perth Scorchers, and his team suffered a heavy defeat.

Shaheen Afridi also had a tough start with the Brisbane Heat in BBL 15. During the 18th over against the Melbourne Renegades, he bowled two waist-high full tosses. Due to dangerous bowling, the umpires stopped him from completing the over. Brisbane Heat captain Nathan McSweeney finished the over.

Shaheen gave away 43 runs in 2.4 overs, including three no-balls and two wides. He also failed to make an impact with the bat and got out at a crucial moment in the final over.

Despite early struggles, both Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam remain determined to bounce back and deliver strong performances for their teams in the upcoming BBL matches.
