ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning for a severe heatwave expected to affect large parts of the country during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays and the following week. According to the Met Office, a high-pressure system is forecast to develop over the region starting June 7, intensifying from June 8 onwards and causing a significant rise in daytime temperatures.
